Size M is for really large dogs, with a neck circumference of about 20cm.
For a German shepherd girl, size M is too small; you need to take the next size, L. It's better to measure first and then buy.

Smaller than indicated
This is a really good collar. It fits very securely and has two pieces to tuck the end flap under, one which can be slid along so the end is always neatly tucked away.
It looks thick and sturdy. I'll have to try it out when I go for a walk.

Works well with fursuits and dogs. I have a fursuit head with fur and xl worked the best for that. If you want to buy this for your fursuit, buy l or m if you don't have fur, and xl if you do.
